HMS Raleigh Freedom of Torpoint Parade

A contingent of Royal Navy sailors will march through the streets of Torpoint as HMS Raleigh exercises its right to the Freedom of the Town.

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Plymouth will lead the parade, while new recruits who have been in the Service for just nine weeks will form the guard of honour.

Seasoned sailors who comprise HMS Raleigh’s Ship’s Company will also be part of the parade, along with trainees conducting their specialist training at the establishment.

HMS Raleigh will parade from Thanckes Park car park at approximately 10.40am.

On the return march, at approximately 11.30am, the parade will honour the war memorial at Eliot Square and take an 'eyes left'.
